Our Story

It may be hard to believe, but we never thought we would be creating software for in-home child care providers. I know it sounds odd, and you are right, it is.

Just like you, I wear many hats each day. From software programmer to certified tax specialist, to even running a family farming operation. It gets a bit busy, but I love it. The best part about my day is helping small business owners like you!

You see, working in tax preparation, I have seen in-home providers struggle firsthand with inefficient software, spreadsheets that miss formulas, and numbers that just don’t add up. I have experienced and witnessed the anxiety that hits providers as they try to get their documents and receipts in order, and I knew we could do something about it.

For me, this hits home, as my family includes several in-home providers. With my knowledge of tax regulations and my experience with providers, I began working with local providers like you to develop what you see today. Then, we put it to the test.

Imagine stepping into your tax professional’s office burdened with over 8 years' worth of paperwork and shoeboxes overflowing with receipts. Yup, it was crazy, and it was the perfect test. After several heart-to-heart discussions and the assurance of our "no judgment zone," together we dove headfirst into the task. Did we create software providers could really benefit from?

With a bit of guidance to get started, the provider was able to do her own bookkeeping and quickly organize those shoeboxes into easy-to-read, accurate documentation. This allowed her to save on expensive professional fees while getting the tax deductions she deserved. In less than three months, and while working full-time, she was up-to-date with her tax reporting. She also learned that with the right tools and software, she could produce faster, more accurate business documentation. She stated, “It is so much easier than it ever used to be for me.”
